Mr ANOULACK CHANTHIVONG (Macquarie Fields—Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections) — The annual NSW Pacific Awards continue to grow since its inception almost two decades ago. A celebration of achievement and a fabulous display of Pacific culture, I recently had the privilege of attending the 2025 NSW Pacific Awards. South-West Sydney is home to many Pacific families who have made a wonderful contribution to our diverse community. Each nominee and winner represented their culture with immense pride. I particularly acknowledge my constituents who were recognised in this year's awards. Army Jaymez Satiu; Lolini Faatauuu; Savannah Faatauuu; Simione Laomahei and Sosaia Laomahei – all from Minto – were recognised for their outstanding contributions in volunteering, primary education and junior sports. Congratulations to all on this well-deserved recognition. I acknowledge the work of Mal Fruean, chairperson of the NSW Council for Pacific Communities. Mal and her team work hard to advocate on behalf of the Pacific community and the wider community. The 2025 NSW Pacific Awards was a huge success, and I thank the event organisers for bringing our community together to showcase the talents and achievements of so many in our Pacific community.
